We Walk the Woods

Every Wednesday, 10:00am – 12:00pm

Meet at headquarters (305 Middleton Rd.) Join the Park Interpreter and volunteer leaders for a slow paced walk through the forest while enjoying nature at its finest. Each week we hike to a different part of the forest for a series of 12 hikes. Recommend bringing water, insect repellent, sun screen, binoculars and camera. Rain or shine! Appropriate for children over 6 years old.

Forest Headquarters (map)

Join the Friends of Harold Parker State Forest with Naturalist Bob Metcalfe for a hike to discover what animals are present and how they are using the forest and pond habitats. We will search for tracks and other sign that will tell us where the animals are active and maybe even what they are doing! Recommend bringing water, sunscreen, and insect repellant. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring binoculars if you have them. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Appropriate for kids 6 and older.
